Entei ex -- Team Magma vs. Team Aqua Pokemon Card Review

Entei ex Pokemon Card Team Magma vs. Team Aqua SetPokemon Card Overview:
Today's Pokemon Card Review is of Entei ex from the EX Team Magma vs. Team Aqua set. This is a basic, fire type Pokemon card with an hp of 100. It has a x2 weakness to water type Pokemon, no resistance type, and a two colorless energy card retreat cost. Entei doesn't have a Poke-Body or Poke-Power but it does have two moves, the first move is called Searing Flame which does 10 damage for one fire energy card and also burns the defending Pokemon if you get a heads when you flip a coin. Entei's second move is called Bright Flame which does 90 damage for three energy cards, two fire and one colorless, however after using this move you must discard 2 energy cards attached to Entei.

PrimetimePokemon's Take:
This is one very cool looking ex card. I really like the background colors on this card, the gold and red, plus Entei is a cool looking Pokemon in general. So I definitely think Rya Ueda did a good job on this card. Besides the artwork, this card can do quite a bit of damage however it probably can't do 90 damage every turn so you'll either want to stock up energy cards on Entei ex before attacking or figure out a way to attach more than one energy card to Entei ex per turn. This card is definitely one of my favorite cards from this set. I am quite positive I have this card in my collection.

Pokemon Card Price:
This card sells on eBay for around $8, on Professor-Oak it sells for $11.00 and on PokeOrder it goes for $35.99.

Other ex Pokemon Cards in this set:
The other ex cards from this set are: Blaziken, Cradily, Raikou, Sceptile, Suicune, and Swampert.

Cradily ex -- EX Team Magma vs. Team Aqua Pokemon Card Review

Cradily ex Pokemon Card EX Team Magma vs Team Aqua SetPokemon Card Overview:
Today's Pokemon Card Review is of Cradily ex from the EX Team Magma vs. Team Aqua set. This is a stage 2, grass type Pokemon card with an hp of 150. It has a x2 weakness to both fire and water type Pokemon, no resistance type, and a two colorless energy card retreat cost. Cradily's Poke-Body is called Primal Vibes which says that as long as Cradily is your active Pokemon your opponent can't play any Pokemon from their hand to evolve one of their Pokemon in play. Besides the Poke-Body, Cradily has two moves, the first move is called Eerie Light which does 30 damage for two colorless energy cards and makes the defending Pokemon confused. Cradily's second move is called Acidic Poison and does 60 damage plus poisons and burns the defending Pokemon for four energy cards, two each of grass and colorless.

PrimetimePokemon's Take:
Stats-wise, this card is pretty similar to the Blaziken ex card I reviewed yesterday. This card is a great card to use against a deck that uses a lot of stage 2 Pokemon, all you need to do is get Cradily ex into the active Pokemon as soon as possible and then its Poke-Body will prevent your opponent from being able to evolve their Pokemon. Both of Cradily's moves are good, both do a fair amount of damage and inflict tons of special conditions. The artwork on this card was done by Ryo Ueda and is okay. If you really look close at the artwork it looks like Cradily is one of those Chinese dragons in the parade's you see, and the colors are somewhat girly.

Pokemon Card Price:
This card sells on eBay for around $5, on Professor-Oak it sells for $15.32 and it isn't sold on PokeOrder.

Other ex Pokemon Cards in this set:
The other ex cards from this set are: Blaziken, Entei, Raikou, Sceptile, Suicune, and Swampert.

Tomorrow's Pokemon Card:

Blaziken ex -- EX Team Magma vs. Team Aqua Pokemon Card Review

Blaziken EX Team Magma Vs Team Aqua Pokemon CardPokemon Card Overview:
Today's Pokemon Card Review is of Blaziken ex from the EX Team Magma vs. Team Aqua set. This is a stage 2, fire type Pokemon card with an hp of 150. It has a x2 weakness to both water and psychic Pokemon types, no resistance type, and a two colorless energy card retreat cost. Blaziken doesn't have a Poke-Power or Poke-Body but it does have two moves, the first move is called Blaze Kick which does 30 damage plus 20 more damage if you get a heads when you flip a coin, if you get a tails the defending Pokemon is now burned instead of doing 20 extra damage. Blaze Kick's attack cost is two energy cards, one each of fire and colorless. Blaziken's other move is called Volcanic Ash which takes four energy cards, two each of fire and colorless and does 100 damage to one of your opponent's Pokemon, however when using this move you must discard two fire energy cards attached to Blaziken ex.

PrimetimePokemon's Take:
Back in the day when this card was playable, this card had to be pretty dominant. All you would have to do was keep Blaziken on your bench for most of the game while loading it up with energy cards, I would put 6 to 8 energy cards on it, then move Blaziken into the active Pokemon spot and use Volcanic Ash 2 or 3 times in a row and knock out 2 or 3 of your opponent's Pokemon. The faster you get energy cards attached to this card and put it into play the better this card will be since Volcanic Ash can do 100 damage to any of your opponent's Pokemon so you'll definitely want to attack your opponent's low hp Pokemon, and Blaziken should last quite a few turns with 150 hp. I do like the artwork on this card which is done by Hikaru Koike, I like how the red and yellow Blaziken is contrasted with the black and blue swirl-filled background. I believe I have this card in my collection, and I know this set is extremely high priced if you want to buy a booster box of it.

Pokemon Card Price:
This card sells on eBay for around $15, on Professor-Oak it sells for $12.94 and on PokeOrder it goes for $35.99. So all around this card is one of the more expensive ex cards I've reviewed so far. We'll have to see how this card compares with the others from the set.

Other ex Pokemon Cards in this set:
The other ex cards from this set are: Cradily, Entei, Raikou, Sceptile, Suicune, and Swampert.

Tomorrow's Pokemon Card:
So thanks for reading today's Pokemon card review of Blaziken ex from the EX Team Magma vs. Team Aqua set, stay tuned for tomorrow's card review of Cradily ex from the same set.

Rayquaza ex -- EX Dragon Pokemon Card Review

Rayquaza ex Pokemon Card EX Dragon Set
Pokemon Card Overview:
Today's Pokemon Card Review is of Rayquaza ex from the EX Dragon set. This is a basic, colorless type Pokemon card, with an hp of 100. It has a x2 weakness to colorless type Pokemon, a -30 resistance to water and fighting type Pokemon, and a two colorless energy card retreat cost. Rayquaza doesn't have a Poke-Body or Poke-Power but it does have two moves, the first move is called Spiral Growth and for one colorless energy card you may flip a coin until you get tails, for each heads you get you may search your discard pile for an energy card and attach it to Rayquaza. Rayquaza's second move is called Dragon Burst which takes two energy cards, one each of fire and electric and does 40 damage times the number of energy cards you discard when you discard all of either your electric or fire type energy cards.

PrimetimePokemon's Take:
Even back in the day when these cards were playable I don't think I would have used this card in battle. It takes too many energy cards to do any damage and can't attack that often. Plus you'll need to put this card in a fire and electric type deck which isn't a very popular deck type. With that being said the artwork on this card isn't bad, I like the background and how Rayquaza is flying through the picture. The artwork was done by Hikaru Koike. I do have this ex card in my collection.

Pokemon Card Price:
This card sells on eBay for around $10, on Professor-Oak it sells for $11.95 and on PokeOrder it goes for $37.49.

Other ex Pokemon Cards in this set:
The other ex cards from this set are: Ampharos, Dragonite, Golem, Kingdra, Latias, Latios, Magcargo, and Rayquaza.

Muk ex -- EX Dragon Pokemon Card Review

Muk Pokemon Card EX Dragon Set
Pokemon Card Overview:
Today's Pokemon Card Review is of Muk ex from the EX Dragon set. This is a stage 1, grass type Pokemon card, with an hp of 100. It has a x2 weakness to psychic type Pokemon, no resistance type, and a two colorless energy card retreat cost. Muk's Poke-Body is called Toxic Gas and says that as long as Muk is your active Pokemon you may ignore all other Poke-Bodies and Poke-Powers. Besides the Poke-Body, Muk ex has two moves, the first move is called Poison Breath which takes one grass energy card and does 10 damage to the defending Pokemon and poisons that Pokemon. Muk's second move is called Slimy Water which takes three energy cards, two grass and one colorless, and does 40 damage plus 10 more damage for each colorless energy in the defending Pokemon's retreat cost.

PrimetimePokemon's Take:
If I could play this card today, this would be the perfect card to combat extremely powerful Pokemon that usually have extremely high retreat costs. Let's say a Pokemon has a four colorless energy card retreat cost then I could use Slimy Water and do 80 damage every turn. The only down thing about this card is that it doesn't have too high of hp so I would make sure and retreat Muk if it's close to feinting. The artwork on this card is done by Hikaru Koike and I don't really like it, it is too abstract for my style. I have this ex card in my collection.

Pokemon Card Price:
This card sells on eBay for around $3, on Professor-Oak it sells for $9 and on PokeOrder it goes for $22.49. So this is another ex card from this set that doesn't sell for much.

Other ex Pokemon Cards in this set:
The other ex cards from this set are: Ampharos, Dragonite, Golem, Kingdra, Latias, Latios, Magcargo, and Rayquaza.

Tomorrow's Pokemon Card:
So thanks for reading today's Pokemon card review of Muk ex from the EX Dragon set, stay tuned for tomorrow's card review of Rayquaza ex from the EX Dragon set.

Magcargo ex -- EX Dragon Pokemon Card Review

Magcargo ex Pokemon Card EX Dragon Set

Pokemon Card Overview:
Today's Pokemon Card Review is of Magcargo ex from the EX Dragon set. This is a stage 1, fire type Pokemon card with an hp of 100. It has a x2 weakness to water type Pokemon, no resistance type, and a three colorless energy card retreat cost. Magcargo doesn't have a Poke-Power or Poke-Body but it does have two moves, the first move is called Melting Mountain which does 20 damage for one fire energy card, however when performing this move you must discard a card from your deck if that card is an energy card you can attach it to Magcargo. Magcargo's second move is called Lava Flow which takes three energy cards, two fire and one colorless, and does 40 damage plus 20 more damage for each energy card you choose to discard when you perform this move.

PrimetimePokemon's Take:
The artwork on this card makes Magcargo seem extremely tough and unstoppable, it looks like Magcargo is inside of a Volcano, thus you would think fire moves wouldn't have any effect on it. The artwork was done by Hikaru Koike, I like the background on this card but not the actual drawing of Magcargo. If I were to use this card in battle I would use Magcargo ex once, by using Lava Flow and discarding all three energy cards attached to it and do 100 damage and then slowly build up to do Lava Flow again. I have this ex card in my collection.

Pokemon Card Price:
This card sells on eBay for around $4, on Professor-Oak it sells for $16.54 and on PokeOrder it goes for $14.99. This ex card is one of the least expensive cards from this set.

Other ex Pokemon Cards in this set:
The other ex cards from this set are: Ampharos, Dragonite, Golem, Kingdra, Latias, Latios, Muk, and Rayquaza.

Tomorrow's Pokemon Card:

Latios ex -- EX Dragon Pokemon Card Review

Latios ex Pokemon Card EX Dragon Set

Pokemon Card Overview:
To everyone that celebrates Christmas, Merry Christmas everyone! With that being said, today's Pokemon Card Review is of Latios ex from the EX Dragon set. This is a basic, colorless type Pokemon card, with an hp of 100. It has a x2 weakness to colorless Pokemon, a -30 resistance to both grass and fighting type Pokemon, and a two colorless energy card retreat cost. Latios doesn't have a Poke-Power or Poke-Body but it does have two moves, the first move is called Energy Stream which takes one colorless energy card and does 10 damage, plus you get to flip a coin when you use this move, and if you get a heads you may search your discard pile for an energy card and attach it to Latios ex. Latios' other move is called Luster Purge which takes three energy cards, one each of grass, eletric, and colorless and does 100 damage, however you must discard 3 energy cards attached to Latios after this move.

PrimetimePokemon's Take:
It is very fitting I'm reviewing this card on Christmas, many years ago when EX Dragon was the new set out, I opened EX Dragon packs for Christmas and pulled this exact card which I still have today. Just like Latias from yesterday, this is a one-hit wonder kind of card doing 100 damage one turn and then not being able to do the move again for a few turns. Just make sure to have this card in a deck with grass and electric type Pokemon. I like the artwork on Latios better than Latios. The artwork was done by Ryo Ueda.

Pokemon Card Price:
This card sells on eBay for around $7, on Professor-Oak it sells for $11.89 and on PokeOrder it goes for $29.99.

Other ex Pokemon Cards in this set:
The other ex cards from this set are: Ampharos, Dragonite, Golem, Kingdra, Latias, Magcargo, Muk, and Rayquaza.

Latias ex -- EX Dragon Pokemon Card Review

Latias Pokemon Card EX Dragon Set
Pokemon Card Overview:
Today's Pokemon Card Review is of Latias ex from the EX Dragon set. This is a basic, colorless type Pokemon card, with an hp of 90. It has a x2 weakness to colorless type Pokemon, a -30 resistance to both psychic and fighting type Pokemon, and a two colorless energy card retreat cost. Latias doesn't have a Poke-Power or Poke-Body but it does have two moves, the first move is called Hypnoblast which does 10 damage for one colorless energy card. Also if you get a heads when you flip a coin the defending Pokemon is asleep. Latias' second move is called Mist Ball which requires three energy cards, one each of colorless, fire, and water and does 100 damage, but you must discard a fire and water energy card when you get done using Mist Ball.

PrimetimePokemon's Take:
It isn't often you see a Pokemon card that can do a damage that is more than its HP, but today's card does exactly that. I would save Latias for a one-hit wonder late in the game, put it in, use Mist Ball and then retreat it out the next turn. Just make sure to include this card in a fire and water type deck. This card was illustrated by Ryo Ueda, even though this card is red, white, and blue I don't really like the artwork on this card. I do have this card in my collection.

Pokemon Card Price:
This card sells on eBay for around $10, on Professor-Oak it sells for $14.99 and on PokeOrder it goes for $29.99. So this is a fairly inexpensive ex card for a Legendary Pokemon.

Other ex Pokemon Cards in this set:
The other ex cards from this set are: Ampharos, Dragonite, Golem, Kingdra, Latios, Magcargo, Muk, and Rayquaza.

Tomorrow's Pokemon Card:

Kingdra ex -- EX Dragon Pokemon Card Review

Kingdra ex Pokemon Card EX Dragon Set
Pokemon Card Overview:
Today's Pokemon Card Review is of Kingdra ex from the EX Dragon set. This is a stage 2, water type Pokemon card, with an hp of 150. It has a x2 weakness to both grass and electric type Pokemon. Kingdra ex doesn't have a resistance type, and its retreat cost is three colorless energy cards. Kingdra ex doesn't have a Poke-Power or Poke-Body but it does have two moves, the first move is called Genetic Memory which takes one water energy card and does any move from the Kingdra's basic or stage 1 Pokemon card, so similar to Lv. X cards. Kingdra's second move is called Hydrocannon which takes three colorless energy cards and does 50 damage plus 20 more damage for each water energy card attached to this card but not used to pay for this attack.

PrimetimePokemon's Take:
If you're playing in an ultimate format, I would search through all the Horsea and Seadra cards out there to find the best ones to use with Genetic Memory. Otherwise I would put up to 5 energy cards on Kingdra so I could do 90 damage every turn. I like the artwork on this card which is done by Hikaru Koike. I like the background design, it almost looks 3d, plus Kingdra looks very dark and dangerous. I believe I have this card in my collection.

Pokemon Card Price:
This card sells on eBay for around $6, on Professor-Oak it sells for $6 and on PokeOrder it goes for $37.49. This looks like a pretty cheap ex card, unless you want to fork over another 30 dollars and buy it from PokeOrder.

Other ex Pokemon Cards in this set:
The other ex cards from this set are: Ampharos, Dragonite, Golem, Latias, Latios, Magcargo, Muk, and Rayquaza.

Golem ex -- EX Dragon Pokemon Card Review

Golem ex Pokemon Card EX Dragon Set
Pokemon Card Overview:
Today's Pokemon Card Review is of Golem ex from the EX Dragon set. This is a stage 2, fighting type Pokemon card, with an hp of 160. It has a x2 weakness to both grass and water type Pokemon, no resistance type, and a 5 colorless energy card retreat cost. Golem doesn't have a Poke-Power or Poke-Body but it does have two moves, the first move is called Magnitude which takes three energy cards, two colorless and one fighting, and does 60 damage plus 10 damage to each benched Pokemon in play. Golem's second move is called Double-edge which takes 5 energy cards, two fighting and three colorless and does 120 damage but does 50 damage to itself.

PrimetimePokemon's Take:
Even though this card can do 120 damage I wouldn't try and use it very much in a deck I would make, just because it takes so long to attack and it takes forever to retreat. I would think about putting it on my bench and occasionally attaching energy cards to it and at the end of the game use Double-edge. Other than that, I don't really like this card, I personally don't like the artwork, which is done by Hikaru Koike. I do have this card in my collection.

Pokemon Card Price:
This card sells on eBay for around $5, on Professor-Oak it sells for $12.02 and on PokeOrder it goes for $29.99. I would say this is an averaged priced ex card from this set, but one I definitely wouldn't buy.

Other ex Pokemon Cards in this set:
The other ex cards from this set are: Ampharos, Dragonite, Kingdra, Latias, Latios, Magcargo, Muk, and Rayquaza.

Dragonite ex -- EX Dragon Pokemon Card Review

Dragonite ex Pokemon Card EX Dragon Set
Pokemon Card Overview:
Today's Pokemon Card Review is of Dragonite ex from the EX Dragon set. This is a stage 2, colorless type Pokemon card, with an hp of 150. It has a x2 weakness to colorless type Pokemon, a -30 resistance to both grass and fighting type Pokemon, and a two colorless energy card retreat cost. Dragonite's Poke-Power is called Call for Power which says that often as you like during your turn you may move an energy card attached to one of your Pokemon to Dragonite ex. Besides the Poke-Power, Dragonite has two moves, the first move is called Dragon Wave which takes two energy cards, one water and one electric and does 70 damage, however after using this move you must discard one water and one electric energy card from Dragonite. Dragonite's second move is called Giant Tail and for four colorless energy cards it can do 120 damage, however if you get a tails when you flip a coin this move doesn't do anything.

PrimetimePokemon's Take:
As powerful as Dragonite usually is, I actually don't like this card much, move-wise that is, both moves have the potential to do a lot of damage but one is only a fifty-fifty shot and the other move will impede your momentum at least a turn. If for some reason I could use this card, I would try setting up most of my other Pokemon first and if I got desperate late, use Call for Power and quickly put energy cards on Dragonite and use Giant Tail. I do like the artwork on this card which was again done by Ryo Ueda, I especially like the background design and the fact Dragonite is shot from underneath it so it looks extremely big. I have this card in my collection.

Pokemon Card Price:
This card sells on eBay for around $10, on Professor-Oak it sells for $28.23 and on PokeOrder it goes for $39.99. I'm guessing this card is one of the more expensive ex cards from this set.

Other ex Pokemon Cards in this set:
The other ex cards from this set are: Ampharos, Golem, Kingdra, Latias, Latios, Magcargo, Muk, and Rayquaza.

Tomorrow's Pokemon Card:

Ampharos ex -- EX Dragon Pokemon Card Review

Ampharos ex Pokemon Card EX Dragon SetPokemon Card Overview:
Today's Pokemon Card Review is of Ampharos ex from the EX Dragon set. This is a stage 2, electric type Pokemon card with an hp of 150. It has a x2 weakness to fighting type Pokemon, a -30 resistance to metal type Pokemon, and a three colorless energy card retreat cost. Ampharos' Poke-Body is called Conductivity which says that as long as Ampharos ex is in play whenever your opponent attaches an energy card to one of their Pokemon from their hand to one of their Pokemon, put one damage counter on that Pokemon. Besides the Poke-Body Ampharos has one move called Gigavolt which takes three energy cards, one electric and two colorless and does 40 damage plus 30 more damage if you get a heads when you flip a coin, but if you get a tails the defending Pokemon is paralyzed instead of doing extra damage to it.

PrimetimePokemon's Take:
This would have been a great ex card to get into play as soon as possible before your opponent would be able to set up their other Pokemon, that way any time they attach an energy card to their Pokemon they do damage to their own Pokemon. This card would have worked perfectly in a spread damage type deck. Even if you would have played this card in the active Pokemon spot it isn't a bad card doing a fair amount of damage or doing a special condition and a little less damage. I really like the artwork done on this card which was done by Ryo Ueda, Ampharos is already one of my favorite Pokemon and this card makes it seem even cooler. I have this card in my collection.

Pokemon Card Price:
This card sells on eBay for around $6, on Professor-Oak it sells for $7.20 and on PokeOrder it goes for $22.50. We'll have to see how this card compares to the other ex cards in this set in the next few days..

Other ex Pokemon Cards in this set:

Wailord ex -- EX Sandstorm Pokemon Card Review

Wailord ex Pokemon Card EX Sandstorm SetPokemon Card Overview:
Today's Pokemon Card Review is of Wailord ex from the EX Sandstorm set. This is a stage 1, water type Pokemon card, with an hp of 200. It has two x2 weaknesses to grass and electric type Pokemon, no resistance type, and a 5 colorless energy card retreat cost. This card doesn't have a Poke-Body or Poke-Power but it does have two moves, the first move is called Super Deep Dive which takes one colorless energy card and allows you to remove 3 damage counters from Wailord and then switch Wailord with one of your benched Pokemon, of course if you don't have any benched Pokemon you can't do this move. Wailord's other move is called Dwindling Wave and for four energy cards, three water and one colorless it does 100 damage minus 10 for each damage counter on Wailord ex.

PrimetimePokemon's Take:
This card has the highest hp of any Pokemon in the TCG today, any card that has a higher hp than this is either fake or is not playable. Even though this card has an incredibly high hp it really isn't that good, this card is basically useless when it has 100 hp on it since Dwindling Wave won't do anything at all, so if you're playing in an unlimited type league you'll have to play Wailord for a turn or two then use Super Deep Dive and get all the damage off of it and then a few turns later put it back in, there is absolutely no reason to retreat this card when you can just use Super Deep Dive and retreat it for free, basically. The artwork on this is done by Ryo Ueda and makes Wailord look absolutely monstrous, I like the pattern of the background but I don't necessarily like Wailord itself. I do have this card in my collection and it is usually highly sought after since it has such a high hp.

Pokemon Card Price:
This card sells on eBay for around $20, on Professor-Oak it sells for $31.54 and on PokeOrder it goes for $59.99. This card is the most expensive card from the EX Sandstorm set.

Other ex Pokemon Cards in this set:
The other ex cards from this set are: Aerodactyl, Aggron, Gardevoir, Kabutops, Raichu, and Typhlosion.

Typhlosion ex -- EX Sandstorm Pokemon Card Review

Typhlosion ex Pokemon Card EX Sandstorm setPokemon Card Overview:
Today's Pokemon Card Review is of Typhlosion ex from the EX Sandstorm set. This is a stage 2, fire type Pokemon card, with an hp of 160. It has two x2 weaknesses to water and fighting type Pokemon, no resistance type, and a two colorless energy card retreat cost. This card doesn't have a Poke-Body or Poke-Power but it does have two moves, the first move is called Ring of Fire and does 40 damage for three energy cards, two colorless and one fire. After using this move the defending Pokemon is burned and can't retreat until after your opponent's next turn. Typhlosion's second move is called Split Blast and for five energy cards, three fire and two colorless, it does 100 damage or 50 damage to each of your opponent's two defending Pokemon if they happen to have two, you only need to discard one energy card when using this move.

PrimetimePokemon's Take:
Out of the ex cards I've reviewed so far, I think Typhlosion ex can do the most damage most consistently, it can do 100 damage every turn as long as you have an energy card in your hand to attach to it each turn. This ex card also has the highest hp of any of ex cards I've reviewed recently. The artwork on this card is done by Hikaru Koike. I like the background pattern but I don't like the illustration of Typhlosion, to me it is an awkward angle. I do have this ex card in my collection.

Pokemon Card Price:
This card sells on eBay for around $8, on Professor-Oak it sells for $10.80 and on PokeOrder it goes for $24.99. I would imagine the reason for this card selling for a bit more than others on eBay would be that Typhlosion is a more popular Pokemon since it is a starter Pokemon and more people are familiar with it.

Other ex Pokemon Cards in this set:
The other ex cards from this set are: Aerodactyl, Aggron, Gardevoir, Kabutops, Raichu, and Wailord.

Tomorrow's Pokemon Card:
So thanks for reading today's Pokemon card review of Typhlosion ex from the EX Sandstorm set, stay tuned for tomorrow's card review of Wailord ex from the EX Sandstorm set.

Raichu ex -- EX Sandstorm Pokemon Card Review

Raichu ex Pokemon Card EX Sandstorm SetPokemon Card Overview:
Today's Pokemon Card Review is of Raichu ex from the EX Sandstorm set. This is a stage 1, electric type Pokemon card, with an hp of 100. It has a x2 weakness to fighting type Pokemon, no resistance type and a one colorless energy card retreat cost. This card doesn't have a Poke-Body or Poke-Power but it does have two moves, the first move is called Dazzle Blast which does 20 damage for one electric energy card and makes the defending Pokemon confused if you get a heads when you flip a coin. Raichu's second move is called Mega Thunderbolt and does 120 damage for three energy cards, two electric and one colorless, however after using this move you have to discard all energy cards attached to Raichu.

PrimetimePokemon's Take:
This card can knock almost any Pokemon out in one move with Mega Thunderbolt but unfortunately you'll have to wait a few turns after that to be able to use the move again. It looks like the whole card is based around that move since the artwork reflects Raichu using a thunderbolt move, it reminds me heavily of the Pokemon Movie that featured Mewtwo. The illustrator of this card was Ryo Ueda. I have this card in my collection.

Pokemon Card Price:
This card sells on eBay for around $6, on Professor-Oak it sells for $16.54 and on PokeOrder it goes for $39.99. I have no idea why it is listed for so much on PokeOrder so if you're looking to buy this card definitely check out the other two sites.

Kabutops ex -- EX Sandstorm Pokemon Card Review

Kabutops ex Pokemon Card EX Sandstorm SetPokemon Card Overview:
Today's Pokemon Card Review is of Kabutops ex from the EX Sandstorm set. This is a stage 2, fighting type Pokemon card, with an hp of 150. It has two x2 weaknesses to grass and electric type Pokemon, no resistance type, and a two colorless energy card retreat cost. This card doesn't have a Poke-Body or Poke-Power but it does have two moves, the first move is called Hydrocutter which takes one colorless energy card and does 40 damage times the number of heads you get when you flip the amount of coins equal to the number of energy cards attached to Kabutops up to three energy cards. Kabutops' second move is called Spiral Drain which takes four energy cards, two each of colorless and fighting and does 70 damage and allows you to remove 2 damage counters from Kabutops.

PrimetimePokemon's Take:
One thing I noticed about this card right away that it is a water type card yet it doesn't require any water energy cards to any of its attacks. Spiral Drain is a pretty good move doing 70 damage and removing damage counters and making Kabutops' 150 hp seem even higher. This card was illustrated by Ryo Ueda and is very well done. This card's artwork reminds me of Aerodactyl ex from this set, since the background is orange/red and black and then Kabutops looks quite menacing. I also like how this card is blue since it is a water type but everyone knows Kabutops is normally a fighting type Pokemon. I have this card in my collection.

Pokemon Card Price:
This card sells on eBay for around $8, on Professor-Oak it sells for $8.86 and on PokeOrder it goes for $15.99. This card sells for more than the other ex cards from this set on eBay, the other sites it is about the same.

Other ex Pokemon Cards in this set:
The other ex cards from this set are: Aerodactyl, Aggron, Gardevoir, Raichu, Typhlosion, and Wailord.

Tomorrow's Pokemon Card:

Gardevoir ex -- EX Sandstorm Pokemon Card Review

Gardevoir ex Pokemon Card EX Sandstorm SetPokemon Card Overview:
Today's Pokemon Card Review is of Gardevoir ex from the EX Sandstorm set. This is a stage 2, psychic type Pokemon card, with an hp of 150. It has two x2 weaknesses to grass and psychic type Pokemon, no resistance type, and a two colorless energy card retreat cost. This card doesn't have a Poke-Body or Poke-Power but it does have two moves, the first move is called Feedback which does the amount of damage equal to the number of cards in your opponent's hand, so if your opponent had 3 cards in their hand this move would do 30 damage. Gardevoir's second move is called Psystorm which takes 4 energy cards, three colorless and one psychic and does 10 damage time the total amount of energy attached to all Pokemon in play.

PrimetimePokemon's Take:
This is a card that benefits you greatly if you have it in play early in the game and late in the game, early in the game Feedback should do quite a bit of damage and late in the game when your Pokemon are set up on your bench it can do quite a bit of damage. Since this card does so much damage it has the dual x2 weaknesses once again to two popular types of Pokemon. The artwork was done again by Hikaru Koike, I actually don't like the artwork on this card as mcuh, Gardevoir just isn't drawn well in my opinion. I don't think I have this card in my collection.

Pokemon Card Price:
This card sells on eBay for around $3, on Professor-Oak it sells for $15.75 and on PokeOrder it goes for $11.99. So overall this card sells for a little less than the other two ex cards from this set I've reviewed.

Other ex Pokemon Cards in this set:
The other ex cards from this set are: Aerodactyl, Aggron, Kabutops, Raichu, Typhlosion, and Wailord.

Tomorrow's Pokemon Card:

Aggron ex -- EX Sandstorm Pokemon Card Review

Aggron ex Pokemon Card EX Sandstorm SetPokemon Card Overview:
Today's Pokemon Card Review is of Aggron ex from the EX Sandstorm set. This is a stage 2, metal type Pokemon card, with an hp of 150. It has two x2 weaknesses to fire and fighting type Pokemon, it has a -30 resistance to grass type Pokemon, and a four colorless energy card retreat cost. Aggron ex doesn't have a Poke-Body or Poke-Power but it does have two moves, the first move is called Rend and for three colorless energy cards this move does 30 damage plus 30 more damage if the defending Pokemon has any damage counters on it. Aggron's other move is called Metal Surge which takes 5 energy cards and does 50 damage plus 20 more damage to each of your opponent's benched Pokemon.

PrimetimePokemon's Take:
This is definitely the most powerful EX Pokemon Card I've reviewed so far. Aggron has a massive HP and has the ability to do a lot of damage but you have to wait a long time to be able to do the damage and that HP doesn't seem so high with dual x2 weaknesses to very popular Pokemon types. The illustration on this card was once again done by Hikaru Koike and is well done, Aggron doesn't look as good as Aerodactyl from yesterday but I do like the black and orange holographic pattern on the background of the picture. This is another ex card I have in my collection.

Pokemon Card Price:
This card sells on eBay for around $4, on Professor-Oak it sells for $15 and on PokeOrder it goes for $19.99. So overall this card sells for a little more than the Aerodactyl ex card from yesterday.

Other ex Pokemon Cards in this set:
The other ex cards from this set are: Aerodactyl, Gardevoir, Kabutops, Raichu, Typhlosion, and Wailord.

Tomorrow's Pokemon Card:

Aerodactyl ex -- EX Sandstorm Pokemon Card Review

Aerodactyl ex Pokemon Card EX Sandstorm SetPokemon Card Overview:
Today's Pokemon Card Review is of Aerodactyl ex from the EX Sandstorm set. This is a stage 1, colorless type Pokemon card, with an hp of 100. It has a x2 weakness to electric type Pokemon, a -30 resistance to fighting type Pokemon, and a one colorless energy card retreat cost. Aerodactyl's Poke-Body is called Primal Lock and says that as long as Aerodactyl ex is in play your opponent can't play Pokemon tool cards. Aerodactyl ex has two moves, the first move is called Supersonic which does 10 damage for one colorless energy card and makes the defending Pokemon confused. Aerodactyl's other move is called Wing Attack which does 60 damage for three colorless energy cards.

PrimetimePokemon's Take:
This card is pretty similar to the types of cards we have today, Wing Attack does the standard 60 damage for three energy cards and Supersonic does a little damage and inflicts a special condition very quickly. I would say this card would have been pretty good back in the day. The artwork which is done by Hikaru Koike is very well done. Aerodactyl looks very cool in green against a red background, it makes Aerodactyl look very menacing. I have this card in my collection and it is one of my favorite ex cards.

Pokemon Card Price:
This card sells on eBay for around $5, on Professor-Oak it sells for $7.36 and on PokeOrder it goes for $19.99. The next few days I will be reviewing the other ex cards in this set and I'll be able to compare prices with this card.

Other ex Pokemon Cards in this set:

Sneasel ex -- EX Ruby and Sapphire Pokemon Card Review

Sneasel ex Pokemon Card EX Ruby and Sapphire Set
Pokemon Card Overview:
Today's Pokemon Card Review is of Sneasel ex from the EX Ruby and Sapphire Pokemon Card set. This is a basic, dark type Pokemon card, with an hp of 80. It has a x2 weakness to fighting type Pokemon, a -30 resistance to psychic type Pokemon, and a one colorless energy card retreat cost. This card doesn't have a Poke-Power or Poke-Body but it does have two moves, the first move is called Double Scratch which takes one darkness energy card and does 10 damage times the number of heads when you flip two coins. Beat Up is Sneasel's second move, this move does 20 damage times the number of heads you get when you flip a coin for each of your Pokemon in play. This move requires three energy cards, two darkness and one colorless.

PrimetimePokemon's Take:
Sneasel ex's Beat Up move has the potential to do the most of any move of the ex cards I've reviewed from the EX Ruby and Sapphire set, it does depend on some luck flipping a coin and a full bench but this card can do quite a bit of damage. The artwork on this card is average, it doesn't have much for a background of the holo, most black, but I do like how Sneasel is in attack mode, it looks like it is performing Double Scratch and there is a cool looking pattern on the card that makes Sneasel looks like it is in motion. The Illustrator of this card is Rya Ueda. I have this card in my collection.

Pokemon Card Price:
This card sells on eBay for around $4, on Professor-Oak it sells for $7.19 and on PokeOrder it goes for $11.25. So this is one of the least expensive cards from this set as far as ex cards go.

Other ex Pokemon Cards in this set:
The other ex cards from this set are: Chansey, Hitmonchan, Lapras, Magmar, Mewtwo, Scyther, and Electabuzz.

Tomorrow's Pokemon Card:
So thanks for reading today's Pokemon card review of Sneasel ex from the EX Ruby and Sapphire set, stay tuned for tomorrow's card review of Aerodactyl ex from the EX Sandstorm set.

Scyther ex -- EX Ruby and Sapphire Pokemon Card Review

Scyther ex Pokemon Card EX Ruby and Sapphire SetPokemon Card Overview:
Today's Pokemon Card Review is of Scyther ex from the EX Ruby and Sapphire Pokemon Card set. This is a basic, grass type Pokemon card, with an hp of 80. It has a x2 weakness to fire type Pokemon, a -30 resistance to fighting type Pokemon, and a one colorless energy card retreat cost. Once again this card doesn't have a Poke-Power or Poke-Body but it does have two moves, the first move is called Agility which takes one grass energy card and does 10 damage plus if you get a heads when you flip a coin, all effects of an attack on Scyther the next turn are prevented. Slash is Scyther's second move which does 50 damage for three energy cards, two grass and one colorless.

PrimetimePokemon's Take:
If I remember correctly, I pulled three of these ex cards in the EX Ruby and Sapphire box I opened on YouTube. I do like Scyther as a Pokemon but this isn't one of my favorite cards, the artwork done by Ryo Ueda isn't anything special, the background is mostly silver which is quite bland and the drawing of Scyther doesn't make it look very menacing.

Pokemon Card Price:
This card sells on eBay for around $6, on Professor-Oak it sells for $9.18 and on PokeOrder it goes for $22.50. I have no idea why PokeOrder is charging such a high price for this card, it seems like this card is quite cheap on the other two sites I look.

Other ex Pokemon Cards in this set:
The other ex cards from this set are: Chansey, Hitmonchan, Lapras, Magmar, Mewtwo, Electabuzz, and Sneasel.

Tomorrow's Pokemon Card:
So thanks for reading today's Pokemon card review of Scyther ex from the EX Ruby and Sapphire set, stay tuned for tomorrow's card review of Sneasel ex from the same set.

Mewtwo ex -- EX Ruby and Sapphire Pokemon Card Review

Mewtwo ex Pokemon Card EX Ruby and Sapphire SetPokemon Card Overview:
Today's Pokemon Card Review is of Mewtwo ex from the EX Ruby and Sapphire Pokemon Card set. This is a basic, psychic type Pokemon card, with an hp of 100. It has a x2 weakness to psychic type Pokemon, no resistance type, and a three colorless energy card retreat cost. Once again this card has two moves, not a Poke-Power or Poke-Body. Mewtwo's two moves are called Energy Absorption and Psyburn, Energy Absorption takes one psychic energy card and allows you to discard two energy cards from your discard pile to Mewtwo. Psyburn does 60 damage for three energy cards, two psychic and one colorless.

PrimetimePokemon's Take:
This is definitely the best ex card I've reviewed so far, it looks quite cool and can do the most damage, quite quickly too. It actually does 60 damage for 3 energy cards which is standard today on a lot of current cards. I like the artwork on this card which was done by Katsura Tabata, the background is a dark purple but Mewtwo is holding a Psyball that is beaming with red all around it. I have this card in my collection.

Pokemon Card Price:
This card sells on eBay for around $6, on Professor-Oak it sells for $12.36 and on PokeOrder it goes for $19.99. As I figured this card sells for a bit more than the other ex cards in this set, since Mewtwo is a popular Pokemon and this card is a little stronger than the other ex cards.

Other ex Pokemon Cards in this set:
The other ex cards from this set are: Chansey, Hitmonchan, Lapras, Magmar, Electabuzz, Scyther, and Sneasel.

Magmar ex -- EX Ruby and Sapphire Pokemon Card Review

Magmar ex Pokemon Card EX Ruby and Sapphire setPokemon Card Overview:
Today's Pokemon Card Review is of Magmar ex from the EX Ruby and Sapphire Pokemon Card set. This is a basic, fire type Pokemon card, with an hp of 90. It has a x2 weakness to water type Pokemon, no resistance type, and a two colorless energy card retreat cost. There is not a Poke-Power or Poke-Body on this card but there are two moves, the first move is called Smokescreen which does 10 damage for one fire energy card. After using this move, when your opponent tries to attack the next turn they have to flip a coin and if they get a tails the move does nothing. Magmar's second move is called Super Singe which takes three energy cards, two fire and one colorless energy card and does 40 damage plus burns the defending Pokemon.

PrimetimePokemon's Take:
Magmar ex is probably one of the better cards I've reviewed in terms of attacking so far, I really like Super Singe on this card. Another thing I noted about this card and Electabuzz ex is that now these cards would never be produced because both Magmar and Electabuzz have stronger evolutions. The artwork on this card is quite similar to the Lapras card I reviewed yesterday since it has the same illustrator. This card has dark overtones with a dark red background which a dark Magmar blends right in to. I do have this ex card in my collection.

Pokemon Card Price:
This card sells on eBay for around $6, on Professor-Oak it sells for $12.00 and on PokeOrder it goes for $11.99. So it sells a tad bit higher than the other ex cards I've reviewed so far from this set.

Other ex Pokemon Cards in this set:
The other ex cards from this set are: Chansey, Hitmonchan, Lapras, Electabuzz, Mewtwo, Scyther, and Sneasel.

Lapras ex -- EX Ruby and Sapphire Pokemon Card Review

Lapras ex Pokemon Card EX Ruby and Sapphire setPokemon Card Overview:
Today's Pokemon Card Review is of Lapras ex from the EX Ruby and Sapphire Pokemon Card set. This is a basic, water type Pokemon card, with an hp of 110. It has a x2 weakness to electric type Pokemon, no resistance type, and a three colorless energy card retreat cost. Once again this card doesn't have a Poke-Power or Poke-Body but it does have two moves, the first move is called Energy Ball which takes one water energy card and does 10 damage plus 10 more damage for each energy card attached to Lapras not including the one needed for this move. However you can't add more than 20 damage in this way. Lapras's other move is called Confuse Ray and for three energy cards, two water and one colorless, it does 30 damage and confuses the defending Pokemon.

PrimetimePokemon's Take:
This is an ex card that I'm glad can't be used any more since both of its moves are so weak, the most this card can do is 30 damage and I don't think 30 damage is fair for a card that if knocked out counts for two prize cards. The artwork on this card is quite cool, I like how Lapras has a dark look to it with the whole holo pattern dark as well as Lapras. The Illustrator of this card was Hikaru Koike. I do have at least one of these cards in my collection.

Pokemon Card Price:
This card sells on eBay for around $6, on Professor-Oak it sells for $10.00 and on PokeOrder it goes for $15.00.

Other ex Pokemon Cards in this set:
The other ex cards from this set are: Chansey, Hitmonchan, Electabuzz, Magmar, Mewtwo, Scyther, and Sneasel.

Hitmonchan ex -- EX Ruby and Sapphire Pokemon Card Review

Hitmonchan ex EX Ruby and Sapphire Pokemon Card
Pokemon Card Overview:
Today's Pokemon Card Review is of Hitmonchan ex from the EX Ruby and Sapphire Pokemon Card set. This is a basic, fighting type Pokemon card, with an hp of 90. It has a x2 weakness to psychic type Pokemon, no resistance type, and a two colorless energy card retreat cost. Just like the other two ex cards I've reviewed from this set, this card doesn't have a Poke-Power or Poke-Body but it does have two moves, the first move is called Steady Punch which does 10 damage plus 10 more damage if you get a heads when you flip a coin all for one fighting energy card. Hitmonchan's second move is called Sky Uppercut which does 50 damage for three energy cards, two fighting and one colorless. This move is not affected by resistance so it will always do at least 50 damage.

PrimetimePokemon's Take:
This is an ex card that is quite weak to some of the newer cards made today, neither move can do much damage but that is why these cards can't be used in the current format. The Illustrator for this card is Hiromichi Sugiyama. I like the artwork on this card quite a bit, I like the gradient on the background of the holo, it goes back and forth between purple and yellow and since I'm a Vikings fan this card is definitely the right colors. I am quite sure I have this ex card in my collection.

Pokemon Card Price:
This card sells on eBay for around $5, on Professor-Oak it sells for $4.08 and on PokeOrder it goes for $7.50. This is the cheapest of the ex cards from the ex set I've reviewed so far.

Other ex Pokemon Cards in this set:
The other ex cards from this set are: Chansey, Electabuzz, Lapras, Magmar, Mewtwo, Scyther, and Sneasel.

Electabuzz ex -- EX Ruby and Sapphire Pokemon Card Review

Electabuzz ex EX Ruby and Sapphire Pokemon CardPokemon Card Overview:
Today's Pokemon Card Review is of Electabuzz ex from the EX Ruby and Sapphire Pokemon Card set. This is a basic, electric type Pokemon card, with an hp of 90. It has a x2 weakness to fighting type Pokemon, a -30 resistance to metal type Pokemon, and a two colorless energy card retreat cost. Electabuzz doesn't have a Poke-Power or Poke-Body but it does have two moves, the first move is called Thundershock which does 10 damage for one electric energy card and you may flip a coin when using this move, if you get a heads the defending Pokemon is now paralyzed. Electabuzz's other move is called Quick Attack which takes three energy cards, two electric and one colorless and does 40 damage plus 20 more damage if you get a heads when you flip a coin.

PrimetimePokemon's Take:
This is an ex card that surprises me it was made since Electabuzz isn't known as a strong Pokemon and it shows since this card has only 90 hp. I do like the artwork on this card a lot better than Chansey, the Illustrator of this card is Hikoru Koike. I like the dark holographic pattern on this card and how Electabuzz which is yellow really stands out against the black. If you could actually battle with this card neither move would be too great especially with such a low HP. I actually don't think I have this ex card.

Pokemon Card Price:
This card sells on eBay for around $5, on Professor-Oak it sells for $8.50 and on PokeOrder it goes for $11.25.

Other ex Pokemon Cards in this set:
The other ex cards from this set are: Chansey, Hitmonchan, Lapras, Magmar, Mewtwo, Scyther, and Sneasel.

Chansey ex -- EX Ruby and Sapphire Pokemon Card Review

Chansey ex EX Ruby and Sapphire Pokemon CardPokemon Card Overview:
Since I've reviewed all the rare Pokemon cards from the newest sets I'm going to be taking a break from my normal Pokemon card reviews to review all the EX Pokemon cards made since the next expansion set will introduce or reintroduce the EX Pokemon cards to the TCG. Since none of the older EX Pokemon are playable in the current format I'll be talking about a few different things on each card, first I will give an overview of the card like I normally do, then I will say what I like about this card if I like it at all, and then I will report how much this card actually is worth, I will indicate what other EX Pokemon cards are in this set then I'll indicate the card I am going to review the next day. So I hope you like these new types of reviews (I'll be going back to my old style when a new set is released). I would really appreciate it if you would comment on this review to say you actually read it and then give your thoughts on the review.

So, today's Pokemon Card Review is of Chansey ex from the EX Ruby and Sapphire Pokemon Card set. This is a basic, colorless type Pokemon card with an hp of 120. It has a x2 weakness to fighting type Pokemon, no resistance type, and a three colorless energy card retreat cost. Chansey ex doesn't have a Poke-Power or Poke-Body but it does have two moves, the first move is called Healing Egg which takes two colorless energy cards and lets you remove 2 damage counters from each of your Pokemon, however you can't remove any damage counters from Chansey. Chansey's other move is called Double-edge which does 80 damage for three colorless energy cards, however Chansey does 60 damage to itself.

PrimetimePokemon's Take:
So in this section of the review I will indicate if I like this card or not, if I have this card in my collection, what I think of its moves, and what I think about the artwork. I know these older ex cards aren't too great but compared to today's cards Double-edge is a pretty bad move considering if you use it twice it will knock Chansey out. The artwork on this card isn't anything too special, it was illustrated by Ryo Uedo, the Chansey is set against a plain background that doesn't do anything to increase the appeal of this card. I do have this ex card, but it isn't one of my favorites, I think I pulled this card out of the Ruby and Sapphire and box I opened on YouTube.

Pokemon Card Price:
In this section I will indicate the prices this card is selling for, the best place to find a price is to search completed listings on eBay. This card sells on eBay for around $5, on Professor-Oak it sells for $6.12 and on PokeOrder it goes for $11.25.

Other ex Pokemon Cards in this set:
The other ex cards from this set are: Electabuzz, Hitmonchan, Lapras, Magmar, Mewtwo, Scyther, and Sneasel.

Reuniclus #53/101 -- Noble Victories Pokemon Card Review

Reuniclus #53/101 Pokemon Card Noble Victories SetPokemon Card Overview:
Today's Pokemon Card Review is of Reuniclus from the Noble Victories set. This is the second of two Reuniclus cards I'll be reviewing from this set. This is a stage 2, psychic type Pokemon card, with an hp of 90. It has a x2 weakness to psychic type Pokemon, no resistance type, and a two colorless energy card retreat cost. Reuniclus doesn't have an Ability, but it does have two moves, the first move is called Dizzy Punch which takes one psychic energy card and does 30 damage times the number of heads you get when you flip two coins. Reuniclus' second move is called Mind Bend which does the standard 60 damage for three energy cards, two colorless and one psychic in this case. Besides doing the damage, the defending Pokemon is now confused.

Pokemon Card Strategy:
So as far as strategy goes, just like Volcarona from yesterday, use whichever move you have the necessary energy cards for. I would prefer to use Mind Bend every time but if you only have two energy cards attached to Reuniclus you'll have to use Dizzy Punch instead.

Pokemon Card Rating:
I would give this card a 3 out of 5 rating. This card is quite similar to Volcarona from yesterday, however this card has a little lower hp, and Dizzy Punch isn't as good as Volcarona's move so I am giving this card an average rating instead of a four.

Tomorrow's Pokemon Card:
So thanks for reading today's Pokemon card review of Reuniclus from the Noble Victories set, stay tuned for tomorrow's card review of another rare Pokemon card.

Volcarona -- Noble Victories Pokemon Card Review

Volcarona Pokemon Card Noble Victories SetPokemon Card Overview:
Today's Pokemon Card Review is of Volcarona from the Noble Victories set. This is a stage 1, fire type Pokemon card, with an hp of 110. It has a x2 weakness to water type Pokemon, no resistance type, and a one colorless energy card retreat cost. Volcarona doesn't have an Ability but it does have two moves, the first move is called Fiery Dance which does 30 damage for one fire energy card and besides doing the damage you may move one energy card from your discard pile to one of your Pokemon. Volcarona's other move is called Heat Wave and for three energy cards, two colorless and one fire it does 60 damage and burns the defending Pokemon.

Pokemon Card Strategy:
So as far as strategy goes, this card is extremely straightforward. Just use the move you have the necessary energy cards for, I would prefer to use Heat Wave the entire time. The only time I would consider using Fiery Dance would be if I needed to attach energy cards to my benched Pokemon and the defending Pokemon wouldn't be knocked out by doing 60 damage to it.

Pokemon Card Rating:
I would give this card a 4 out of 5 rating. This card is slightly above average for a stage 1 Pokemon card, it has 20 more hp than most stage 1 cards, it can do a move very quickly requiring only 1 energy card and it can do the standard 60 damage for 3 energy cards plus it burns the defending Pokemon. So if you're looking for a few fire cards to put into your deck, Volcarona may consider a look.

Tomorrow's Pokemon Card:
So thanks for reading today's Pokemon card review of Volcarona from the Noble Victories set, stay tuned for tomorrow's card review of the second Reuniclus card from the Noble Victories set.

Meowth -- Noble Victories Pokemon Card Review

Meowth Pokemon Card Noble Victories SetPokemon Card Overview:
Today's Pokemon Card Review is of Meowth from the Noble Victories set. This is a secret rare card in the Noble Victories set and you can tell this by looking at the number on this card which is #102/101. So Meowth is a basic, colorless type Pokemon card, with an hp of 60. It has a x2 weakness to fighting type Pokemon, no resistance type, and a one colorless energy card retreat cost. Meowth doesn't have an Ability but it does have two moves, the first move is called Fury Swipes which takes one colorless energy card and does 10 damage times the number of heads you get when you flip 3 coins. Meowth's other move is called Pay Day which takes 2 colorless energy cards and does 20 damage plus you get to draw a card when using this move.

Pokemon Card Strategy:
So as far as strategy goes, you can put this card in any type deck since it is a normal type card. This card is definitely one you'll want to start the game with since it can do 30 damage for only one energy card and early in the game, Pay Day can help you get that one card you need to level up a Pokemon or get an energy card to attach to one of your benched Pokemon.

Pokemon Card Rating:
I would give this card a 3 out of 5 rating. This is definitely a solid starter Pokemon for any deck. However, I would probably try and find other, less rare and expensive starter cards to put in my deck.

Tomorrow's Pokemon Card:
So thanks for reading today's Pokemon card review of Meowth from the Noble Victories set, stay tuned for tomorrow's card review of Volcarona from the Noble Victories set.

Haxorus -- Noble Victories Pokemon Card Review

Haxorus Pokemon Card Noble Victories SetPokemon Card Overview:
Today's Pokemon Card Review is of Haxorus from the Noble Victories set. This is a stage 2, normal type Pokemon card, with an hp of 140. It has no weakness, no resistance type, and a two colorless energy card retreat cost. Haxorus doesn't have an Ability but it does have two moves, the first move is called Dual Chop which takes two colorless energy cards, and does 50 damage times the number of heads you get when you flip two coins. Haxorus' second move is called Giga Impact which does 120 damage for three colorless energy cards, however you can't attack the next turn after using this move.

Pokemon Card Strategy:
So as far as strategy goes, first off, you can put this card in any type deck since this is a normal type Pokemon. With that being said, I would probably use Giga Impact if I could knock the Pokemon out for sure with 120 damage, otherwise I would use Dual Chop and hope to get two heads.

Pokemon Card Rating:
I would give this card a 2 out of 5 rating. For a stage 2 Pokemon card this card isn't very good, it can only do average damage, and it has a somewhat low hp for a stage 2 card. I would probably try and find a stage 2 card of the specific type your deck is instead of putting Haxorus in the deck.

Cobalion -- Noble Victories Pokemon Card Review

Cobalion Pokemon Card Noble Victories SetPokemon Card Overview:
Today's Pokemon Card Review is of Cobalion from the Noble Victories set. This is a stage basic, metal type Pokemon card, with an hp of 120. It has a x2 weakness to fire type Pokemon, a -20 resistance to psychic type Pokemon, and a two colorless energy card retreat cost. Cobalion doesn't have an Ability but it does have two moves, the first move is called Energy Press which takes two energy cards, one each of metal and colorless, and does 20 damage plus 20 more damage for each energy attached to the defending Pokemon. Cobalion's second move is called Iron Breaker and does 80 damage for three energy cards, two metal and one colorless. Plus doing the damage, your opponent can't attack during their next turn.

Pokemon Card Strategy:
So as far as strategy goes, as soon as I get three energy cards on Cobalion I'll want to put it into the active Pokemon spot and use Iron Breaker every turn. With 120 hp, Cobalion should be able to knock out quite a few Pokemon in a row, the sooner you get Cobalion into the active Pokemon spot the more Pokemon it will be able to knock out. If for some reason the defending Pokemon has 4 or more energy cards attached to it, I would use Energy Press if 100 damage would knock it out.

Pokemon Card Rating:
I would give this card a 4 out of 5 rating. This is one powerful basic Pokemon card. As long as you wait a little while with this card, this card can knock out many Pokemon and withstand a few hits a long the way. If you are building a metal type deck this card is a must have in it.

Bisharp -- Noble Victories Pokemon Card Review

Bisharp Pokemon Card Noble Victories SetPokemon Card Overview:
Today's Pokemon Card Review is of Bisharp from the Noble Victories set. This is a stage 1, metal type Pokemon card, with an hp of 100. It has a x2 weakness to fire type Pokemon, a -20 resistance to psychic type Pokemon, and a two colorless energy card retreat cost. Bisharp doesn't have an Ability, but it does have two moves, the first move is called Energy Stream which takes one colorless energy card and does 20 damage and lets you attach a metal energy card from your discard pile to this Pokemon. Bisharp's second move is called Metal Scissors and for three colorless energy cards, this move does 40 damage plus 20 more damage for each metal energy attached to this Pokemon.

Pokemon Card Strategy:
So as far as strategy goes, even though this card doesn't require any metal energy cards for either of its moves, I would recommend attaching all metal energy cards to this card so when you put Bisharp into the active Pokemon spot, Metal Scissors can do 100 damage per turn instead of 40 and by having this card in a metal type deck and using this card a little later in the game you could use Energy Stream and quickly attach another energy card to this card.

Pokemon Card Rating:
I would give this card a 4 out of 5 rating. If you're going to use a mainly metal type deck, this card is a great card to use, especially if you attach three or more metal energy cards to this card. You'll have to set it up on your bench though, because with only 100 hp, if you try to put it in the active Pokemon spot with hardly any energy on it, you may not be able to use Metal Scissors before this card gets knocked out.

Escavalier -- Noble Victories Pokemon Card Review

Escavalier Pokemon Card Noble Victories SetPokemon Card Overview:
Today's Pokemon Card Review is of Escavalier from the Noble Victories set. This is a stage 1, metal type Pokemon card, with an hp of 90. It has a x2 weakness to fire type Pokemon, a -20 resistance to psychic type Pokemon, and a three colorless energy card retreat cost. Escavalier doesn't have an Ability, but it does have two moves, the first move is called Guard Press which takes two energy cards, one each of metal and colorless, and does 40 damage, and the turn after using this move any damage done to this Pokemon by attacks is reduced by 20. Escavalier's second move is called Twineedle which takes three energy cards, two colorless and one metal, and does 70 damage times the number of heads you get when you flip two coins.

Pokemon Card Strategy:
So as far as strategy goes, once you get this Pokemon into the active Pokemon spot, use whichever move you have the necessary energy cards for. I would obviously use Guard Press if the defending Pokemon would be knocked out with 40 damage or less, if they wouldn't be knocked out, I would use Twineedle and hope to get two heads and do 140 damage per turn.

Pokemon Card Rating:
I would give this card a 2 out of 5 rating. There really isn't anything too special about this card, neither move does much for damage (unless you're lucky) and with only 90 hp, this card will be knocked out fairly fast. I would definitely try and find a different metal type Pokemon for my deck.
